Con un giro de 90º, se transforma un retrato del siglo XVIII atribuido a Goya, en la obra "65,5x88,5, rectángulo de pintura clásica". El valor del cuadro original se convierte en materia prima para construir la nueva obra. Esta pieza tiene referencias en trabajos anteriores del artista, como en "Ud. forma parte de una obra de Arte" (2004), donde construía un rectángulo por medio de todos los habitantes (36.720) de una zona urbanística de Madrid.
A portrait of the eighteenth century allegedly by Goya, becomes “65.5 x 88.5, rectangle of classic painting” by turning this portrait 90º. The high value of the original painting adds to the final work as a sort of a privileged raw material. We can see echoes of this painting in previous works by the artist, as “You are a part of an art work” (2004), with a rectangle made up of the residents in one of the suburbs in Madrid.
