El proyecto proponìa trasladar el discurso diario que espeta una vecina de un barrio de Madrid, desde un patio de vecinos hasta el balcón presidencial del Ayuntamiento de León. Este acto pretendìa un cambio de status en el que un mensaje llamado al olvido y sin ningún tipo de repercusión socio-urbana, se difundiera entre cientos de personas desde el lugar que representa el máximo poder de una ciudad, su Ayuntamiento.
Finalmente, y aunque estaba pactado desde hacìa semanas, el Ayuntamiento no permitiò colocar el sonido desde el balcòn Presidencial, llegando al acuerdo de utilizar otro medio que no tocara fìsicamente el balcòn. Tras barajar diferentes opciones, se requiriò la colaboraciòn de los bomberos que, ante su sorpresa, simplemente colocaron en su escalera los bafles de sonido a la altura del balcòn, eso si, sin rozarlo.
El resultado formal de la pieza no fue el inicialmente planteado, pero tomò una nueva lectura que refleja perfectamente el hacer del estamento polìtico español.
Este trabajo forma parte del proyecto ANONYMOUS WOMAN, en el que desde el año 2008 Josechu Dàvila ha difundido, por medio de obras de arte, el mensaje que una mujer anònima (nunca dijo su nombre) espetaba a diario desde su ventana para recriminar e iluminar al mundo.
The project proposed to transfer the daily discourse of a neighbour from a neighbourhood in Madrid from a residents' courtyard to the presidential balcony of the City Hall of León. This act aimed to change the status quo in which a message called to oblivion and without any kind of socio-urban repercussion, would be spread among hundreds of people from the place that represents the maximum power of a city, its City Hall.
Finally, and although it had been agreed for weeks, the City Council did not allow the sound to be placed from the Presidential Balcony, reaching an agreement to use another means that did not physically touch the balcony. After considering different options, the firemen were asked to collaborate and, to their surprise, they simply placed the sound baffles on their ladder at the height of the balcony, without touching it.
The formal result of the piece was not as initially planned, but it took on a new interpretation that perfectly reflects the workings of the Spanish political establishment.
This work is part of the project ANONYMOUS WOMAN, in which since 2008 Josechu Dàvila has spread, through works of art, the message that an anonymous woman (she never said her name) shouted every day from her window to reproach and enlighten the world.
