PROYECTO PARA DIFUNDIR EL MENSAJE DE UNA MUJER ANÒNIMA EN HONG KONG POR MEDIO DE UNA MANIFESTACIÒN
A PROJECT TO SPREAD THE WORD OF AN ANONYMOUS WOMAN IN HONG KONG THROUGH A DEMONSTRATION

ANONYMOUS WOMAN PROJECT www.AnonymousWoman.esManifestaciòn compuesta por màs de 50 personas de nacionalidad china portando pancartas con consignas extraídas de los propios discursos de la Señora. Los manifestantes las estuvieron gritando por las calles cercanas a Para/Site art space durante el tiempo de inauguraciòn. El sonido de la manifestaciòn fue grabado y posteriormente emitido, junto a los restos de las pancartas, en la fachada del edificio de Para/Site art space durante todo el perìodo expositivo.
Las consignas, seleccionadas de diferentes discursos de la Señora, fueron de carácter filosòfico y reflexivo, sin ningùn tipo de connotaciòn polìtica, social o de protesta. Finalmente, una manifestaciòn se convierte en el canal para difundir pensamientos profundos en vez de reivindicativos, desaprovechando asì (algo comùn en el trabajo de Josechu Dàvila) el derecho a la libertad de expresiòn y a manifestarse que existe en Hong Kong, ùnica ciudad de China donde esto està permitido.
Este trabajo forma parte del proyecto ANONYMOUS WOMAN, en el que desde el año 2008 Josechu Dàvila ha difundido, por medio de obras de arte, el mensaje que una mujer anònima (nunca dijo su nombre) espetaba a diario desde su ventana para recriminar e iluminar al mundo.
More than 50 people of Chinese nationality carried banners with slogans taken from the Madame's own speeches. The demonstrators were shouting them in the streets near Para/Site art space during the inauguration time. The sound of the demonstration was recorded and later broadcast, together with the remains of the banners, on the façade of the Para/Site art space building during the whole exhibition period.
The slogans, selected from different speeches of the Lady, were of a philosophical and reflective nature, without any political, social or protest connotations. Finally, a demonstration becomes the channel to disseminate profound thoughts instead of protest, thus wasting (something common in Josechu Dàvila's work) the right to freedom of expression and demonstration that exists in Hong Kong, the only city in China where this is allowed.
This work is part of the project ANONYMOUS WOMAN, in which since 2008 Josechu Dàvila has spread, through works of art, the message that an anonymous woman (she never said her name) shouted every day from her window to reproach and enlighten the world.
